Charles Webster Potter Place is a vibrant Clubhouse employment recovery and rehabilitation center in Waltham that helps people, who have a diagnosis of mental illness, live full and productive lives in the community. Operated by the Edinburg Center, Potter Place has a team of members and staff who run the day to day operations of the Clubhouse while forging pivotal relationships and providing support, peer support and services. The Clubhouse helps people secure employment, an education, engage in social activities and access what is needed to live a full life. Potter Place follows the evidenced based practice, internationally recognized Clubhouse model and is quality accredited by Clubhouse International. The Clubhouse director is responsible for leading the team of members and staff in providing high quality services and supports to its membership. The main responsibilities include: working with adults who have psychiatric conditions on their recovery paths and helping members gain employment, engage in social activities, develop meaningful relationships and move forward in their lives. The Clubhouse centers are operated by members and paid staff as a means toward recovery. Do you have initiative, strong networking skills and a desire to show off your energetic style? The next Program Manager of Odyssey House has the chance to bring their education (Bachelors or above), experience (five years in human services along with four years of management experience) and leadership skills to this Clubhouse International Accredited program. The successful candidate will also have budget management experience.
In this dynamic position, you will provide leadership for the day to day operations and serve as a member of HRU’s management team. You will need to ensure the essential features of the clubhouse model are present and that the program adheres to international clubhouse as well as CARF standards. You will also represent Odyssey House to the community for the purpose of obtaining jobs for members, increasing program visibility and educating the public. You will serve as the program’s external contact while building community networks to advocate for services, ensuring that individuals recovering from mental health conditions in the greater Holyoke area have the supports needed.
